Spencer Dental Director Dr. Levon Kouyoumdjian, D.D.S.
Levon Kouyoumdjian, DDS, is a native of Nazareth, Israel and came to the United States to pursue his educational dreams.
He attended the University of California, Berkeley and earned his Bachelor of Arts in neurobiology from the University of Southern California and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery at what is now known as the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in 2000.
Dr. Kouyoumydjian opened his first dental practice soon after earning his DDS, during which he had the privilege of serving his patients as well as coaching and mentoring other dentists.
He has received several honors from the Academy of General Dentistry as well as from the American Association of Endodontists.
In his spare time, Dr. Kououmydjian enjoys spending time with his family, playing outdoor sports, travel, and watching football and tennis.

Dr. Pranita Kadam is a dentist serving the Spencer community of Houston, TX. Dr. Kadam is a caring dental provider who cares for her patients comfort and better oral health through thoughtful pain management, treatment planning and dental care education. She is truly invested as a partner in her patients’ dental wellness, helping patients achieve and maintain healthier smiles at any age.
Dr. Kadam attended the University of Texas, San Antonio, where she received her dental degree and completed her master’s in clinical dentistry at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Dr. Kadam enjoys giving back to her community and has participated in many volunteer activities as a way of providing dental care to those in need. She volunteered as a general dentist at “Haven for Hope” San Antonio in 2010.

Mayra Castillo first started with Jefferson Dental three years ago, and since then she’s worked as Manager of our Spencer location in Houston.
Under Mayra’s direction, she makes sure that every patient receives exemplary care. Every member of her team works together to help make the patients feel secure with the care they receive.
Each person on the Spencer team genuinely cares about patients and emphasizes patient comfort, clear communication and personalized attention. That’s why everyone from the front desk staff to the assistants to the managers to the technicians are extremely friendly and attentive, helping make their patients feel at ease.
In consult, the staff works with patients to review financial options and payment plans, making quality dental care accessible to everyone. The staff contends that payment should never prevent someone from addressing their dental health, and works with patients to find the right payment plan to match their treatment needs. Appointment times are flexible, with early and late appointments to match the needs of patients. The Spencer team will go above and beyond to make sure that patients receive the care that they need, and receive the treatment they deserve.
Firas Abdel-Rahman D.D.S., M.S., CAGS
We are pleased to announce Dr. Firas Abdel-Rahman as a resident periodontist at the Spencer location. As a leading periodontologist, Dr. Rahman is specially trained to treat gum disease and inflammation, as well as conduct highly advanced cosmetic dentistry procedures like affordable dental implants. Moreover, Dr. Rahman offers patients sedation dentistry, which makes patients with severe dental anxiety comfortable through difficult or stressful dental treatments. He will serve as a referral specialist to treat patients who have advanced gum disease. Dr. Rahman has also been a clinical instructor of the Pre-Doctural Clinic at Boston University. He has completed his accreditation of professional advancement at Zimmer, Nobel Biocare, ITI, Ankylos and 3I Implant based systems. Dr. Firas brings both extended training and extensive experience to Jefferson Dental Clinics.
Dr. Levon is the BEST. He took the time to effectively and efficiently work on my teeth. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I highly recommend him!!! His assistant Silvia was also very good. Thumbs up. ;)
