Industry-Leading Dental Technology In Every Jefferson Dental Office

Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics is proud to be at the forefront of technology-driven oral healthcare. We’ve invested in the best technology in the industry, including interactive 3D scanners, FDA-cleared artificial intelligence driven technology, and more, with one goal in mind: to provide our patients with the best, most accurate, most comfortable care available.

What has changed with modern dental technology?

The development of dental technology has been fueled by the need to find new ways to improve patient care, reduce discomfort, provide better outcomes and deliver a positive experience to all patients. Some of these changes include:

A more personalized experience

Improved dental technology and equipment means more comfort, more accurate results and more efficiency by tailor-making decisions based on data and other sources, specifically for you.

Advanced screening technology

By using the latest digital dental scanning technology, our dentists are able to identify any potential issues before they become much bigger, costly problems to fix. Preventative dentistry is key to keeping your smile healthy.

3D Dental scanning

Dental scanning technology today is far more advanced than what it used to be. It is much more detailed, accurate and personalized, offering our dentists more information to prescribe a more accurate, effective treatment plan. Our cutting-edge iTero®️ Element™️ Intraoral 3D Dental Scanner shows our dentists (and you!) a comprehensive, 3D image of your mouth.

The use of AI dental technology

AI dental technology, or artificial intelligence, helps our dentists and hygienists by catching issues present on x-rays that are clearly visible to the human eye. This rules out human error, ensuring that we are able to treat problem areas early and avoid more serious or costly treatment later on.

iTero 3D scanners use a handheld wand that captures 6,000 images to create a 3D model of your teeth and gums. iTero Scanners are used to look for cavities, identify crowded teeth or misalignments, and find plaque build-up in tough-to-reach spaces. iTero scanners show a simulation of what your smile could look like after orthodontic treatment with braces or Invisalign.

Overjet uses AI technology to help increase precision and improve patient care by giving patients a better understanding on what their issues are and why they need dental treatment. Overjet AI is the first FDA-cleared technology to detect cavities and measure bone loss linked to gum disease. It uses artificial intelligence to analyze your x-rays, pointing out areas with tooth decay or bone loss.  Seeing these problem areas for yourself allows you to make a more informed decision about your oral health.

  • Accurate diagnosis of your oral health.

We use dental technology to be able to provide our patients with the best possible care. We aim to make every patient feel relaxed and empowered by using technology that enhances the skills of our expert dentists. This technology allows us to have an open, trusting and transparent relationship with each patient, tailoring their treatment to them.

Dental technology is 100% safe to use, and even more effective than traditional methods. As the newer technology is much more sophisticated, it’s likely to catch things older technology might have missed.
