So… here’s what we know:

The most abundant protein in milk is called casein, which is related to the phosphoproteins family. Casein contains both calcium and phosphorous. The great thing about casein is that it forms a thin film on the enamel surface of our teeth which prevents loss of calcium when they are exposed to acids in the mouth. If you are wondering, you can actually get Casein supplement at your nearest pharmacy.

Calcium is essential  to our well-being, whether we are old, or young. During our formative years, calcium helps strengthen and increase bone mass in our teeth. As we age, a draining process begins, so a consistent intake of calcium can decrease bone loss during aging. Let’s also remember that not only milk, but some of its derivatives, also include calcium, such as cheese and cream products.

Additional studies have suggested that milk also reduces the effects of cariogenic foods on teeth when consumed together. Further, dentists say that, except for water, milk is the only safe drink to have between meals as it prevents tooth decay.

Here we only list the benefits of milk and our teeth, but there are many more that keep our bodies healthy. Check them out. You’ll be surprised.
